It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas is less than 3 weeks away! If you are unsure what to get your friends for Christmas, think about some homemade gifts!

These are a fun alternative - especially when kids want to give presents! Putting more effort and time into a gift will make it even better when you give it to someone! Here are some festive ideas with the pictures below!

Peppermint Bark - Microwave dark and white chocolate on 15-second increments until chocolate is completely melted. Spread melted dark chocolate evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan. Once white chocolate is melted, place teaspoon of shortening, peppermint extract and candy-cane pieces and stir well. Spread white chocolate evenly over dark chocolate layer and immediately sprinkle white chocolate layer with remaining candy cane pieces. Allow peppermint bark to harden completely at room temperature before breaking into pieces. Package in a Christmas tin or clear plastic with colourful ribbon to make a great gift!

Candy Cane Sugar Scrub - have two bowls with one cup granulated sugar each, 1/4 cup of almond oil, 8-10 drops of peppermint essential oil. In one bowl, add a few drops of red food colouring! Place layers of sugar scrub alternating between white and red into a glass jar! Hot Chocolate Kits - These are easy gifts that get you straight into the holiday spirit! Get a festive mug and fill in with pre-made hot chocolate mix (or make some yourself!), some marshmallows, some peppermints, anything you can think of for that perfect cup of hot chocolate!

Candy Cane Popcorn - A delicious blend of melted marshmallow, butter, white chocolate and crushed candy canes mixed in with popcorn! Perfect blend of salty and sweet for the holiday season!

There are great recipies online for these Christmas treats. Personalise packaging however you want!

Have fun!
